At Coffee Creative, we’re big on culture, big on showing up for each other and big for showing up for causes that matter. This year, on Reach for a Dream’s Slipper Day, we decided to go all in. Not just one act of kindness, but two.
Double the impact. Double the heart.
Slipper Day has always been close to our hearts. The idea is simple but powerful: wear your slippers to work, wear a sticker, and show your support for children fighting life-threatening illnesses. It’s about making dreams come true, one sticker and pair of slippers at a time. And this year, our entire team came together to do just that.
But… we didn’t stop there.
Not just one act of kindness, but two.
We decided to pair the comfy with the practical and add another layer of giving. On the same day, we rolled up our sleeves (and our slippered feet) and made over 250 sandwiches for ElGibbor Kitchen, an outreach initiative that serves people experiencing food insecurity in our community.
It was a packed morning – tables full of bread, spreads, bags with motivational quotes written on them, and our team moving in rhythm, laughing, chatting, and getting it done. Whether you were spreading peanut butter, jam or labelling bags, there was a real sense of purpose in the room. We weren’t just checking a box -we were doing something that really mattered, together.

More than just a good deed
There’s something about acts of service that pull a team closer. Sure, we bond over pitch wins, shoot days, and Friday team takeaways – but bonding over a cause hits differently. It was truly wholesome and fun! The studio was a mix of bright blue Slipper Day stickers, fluffy footwear in every shape and size, and the kind of chatter that only happens when people are doing something good – together. Some of us went full plush unicorn. Others kept it classic.
A huge thank you to Reach for a Dream, our client, New Church Westville and ElGibbor Kitchen for the incredible work they do. We were honoured to play a small part in it. And to our team: thanks for always showing up, stickered and slippered, ready to do something that matters.
We’ll be back next year. Slippers on, sandwiches ready.
